Hey, so it's about every little things that amazed me during my first month living in South Korea!
Let's see the first part!
1. Bus The transportation here is just superb cool. This republic has served the people with a very comfortable, easy, and effective transportation. We can use e-money for any transportation. Notice: Not all drivers are friendly, most of them do not use English, make sure you know what to say and where to go, bring google maps or other kind of map that surely might help you.
2. Fashion Colours I am not following the Korean fashion, not really. But since i stay here, i rarely find the bright and light color. Most of people, man or woman, young or old, will prefer to wear dark color and soft one. The most-seen color are dark blue, black, grey, white, cream and brown. I honestly never then use my red dress when I am here. LOL Notice: Wear whatever color you want, that is only what I see most of time in public, uni, dormitory or even street. Good if you have those I think, just in case.
3. Clean and Clear All I see is almost perfectly-clear and clean. Trust me, it is hard to find rubbish or trash or whatever word for that around this country, or yeah at least Suwon and Seoul. It is extremely hard to find a dustbin too! So, be sure not to complaint if sometime you need to keep all the trashes into your pocket. Notice: There are lot of notices about “cleaning and clearing”. I found it works almost everywhere, but tell you the truth the international space, room, or building might not be as described. Well, not all Korean stay there, right? Get my point?
4. Creative Stuffs So far, I perhaps only see some stuffs that personally may be very new for me, since I never find and even thought of it before. On my way to go to Seoul with bus, I found a man with a kind of big gloves used for covering his hands/ palms while driving the motorcycle. It has silver color and i guess it is also made for avoiding the warm temperature. That is just so creative for me! Notice: There are actually more and more stuffs like that, but I totally forgot! I will inform you soon!
5. Garden is everywhere! I am likely obsessed with garden and flowers! And here, I can find those beautiful yet cute in many corners and sides! I can not thank the government enough for letting the flowers and gardens grow and beautify these places. Notice: More flowers absolutely will be blown on Spring, but around Summer-end and Fall, I believe I have seen a lot!

6. Fashion and Make-Up Worrying the price is always my thing in shopping here. I feel it always costs more than what I expect. LOL. But not for fashion and make-up! Omo, its sooooooooooo affordable! There are thousands and more choices, in all ranges of price, and sure lots are cheap. Notice: You should really note what you need, or you will be panic to lost much money.
7. Free Drink In almost all places to eat, yeah restaurants, I always feel relieved and helped (in budget), since they provide free drinks. I am so grateful for this. You might have seen and known this kind of service in Indonesia, but for me, hmm, not yet. Also, it is like everywhere-not-to-worry-about-drink. Notice: Sure, not all restaurant have this. So, always prepare some money in advance.
8. Language Knowing some Korean will be very good for you, to communicate with other Korean. In Seoul, I predict there are lot people who can speak English, so you can be feel better about visiting Seoul. But, to be honest, as I observed, people in other part of Korea might not help you when you speak to them not with Korean languages. Always find young people, they are most probably will understand you! Notice: To be safe, make sure to always have a dictionary with you, you can simply download the app for your hand phone. I used “KAMUS BARU” app and “Google Translate”.
9. Product Information Shopping never be so hard before! I went shopping for food and other needs on the first day of my arrival here. All products are written in Hangul or Korean Language. You can imagine how difficult to find out what I need and want, or what I should not buy. In supermarket, none will help you, at least if you are lucky to find someone speak English, you will be saved. Notice: Make sure to find out what you want to buy, and it is better if you have those items in Korean or at least pictures. And sure, dictionary or go shopping with Korean friends.
10. Temperature I was born in Palembang, in Indonesia. I will not describe my country in details except it is hot, well warm. Living there has made me accustomed with high-temperature and climate. So first time stepping Korea, it was definitely the end of Summer. Although it is Korean Summer, please believe me, I miss Sunlight and warm air so much. I go to classes in 10 a.m. in the morning and found it 20 degree Celsius, meanwhile in Jakarta was about 30 degree Celsius, it was on 8 in the morning tho. In the afternoon, I ever noticed it was 30 degrees here, 32 in Jakarta, and 34 in Palembang. Notice: Do not worry, warm water-access is easy. You will meet Sun in around 4 p.m. or more. You just need to wait. LOL.
I literally want to post many more about my two weeks-stay here, I hope I can share and post regularly. Pardon my post, texts and words, I do not recheck it, I need to rest soon, this is weekday, right? Hope it means something to the readers <3
